 ALBUQUERQUE – August 15, 2023 – New Mexico Heart Institute/Lovelace Medical Group (NMHI) plans to study the Impella CP®, an FDA-approved heart pump, in patients who have experienced heart attacks in cardiogenic shock, to learn how the pump may help improve recovery. NMHI will be the first site in the United States to conduct this study.

ALBUQUERQUE – August 8, 2023 – Lovelace Medical Group (LMG) General Surgeon Dr. David Hoang performed a concomitant TIF® procedure combining hiatal hernia repair with the DaVinci Xi system at Lovelace Medical Center (LMC), making it the first to be completed in Northern New Mexico. The TIF procedure is an advanced treatment option for patients suffering from chronic acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and has been found to reduce recovery time, pain and less visible scarring.

(August 3, 2023) – SCOR Orthopaedics/Lovelace Medical Group (SCOR/LMG) has been granted a three-year term of reaccreditation, for the fifth term in a row, by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in MRI in the area of Musculoskeletal Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), demonstrating its ongoing commitment to providing quality patient care.
