ALBUQUERQUE – July 15, 2024 –Lovelace Medical Center (LMC) earned the Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke GOLD PLUS with Honor Roll Elite and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll, both for the 12th consecutive year.

ALBUQUERQUE – July 3, 2024 – Lovelace Medical Center (LMC) has performed its first robotic-assisted bronchoscopy using the Ion Endoluminal System (Ion) platform for minimally invasive biopsy of the lung. The Ion procedure was completed by Jeffrey Mazer, MD, Lovelace Medical Group pulmonologist, which allowed him to navigate to nodules in all 18 segments of the lung and remove tissue for biopsy with precision and accuracy.

CT-based planning allows surgeons to plan and individualize total knee, partial knee and total hip replacement procedures to each patient

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – June 24, 2024 – Lovelace Health System has named Sherry Aragon, MBA, chief operating officer (COO) of Lovelace Women’s Hospital (LWH), effective June 24.

ALBUQUERQUE – June 24, 2024 – Today Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center (HHNM) and GE HealthCare (Nasdaq: GEHC) announced HHNM as the first location in the United States to install GE HealthCare’s Allia Image Guided System (IGS) Pulse, which was designed to provide exceptional image quality and improve workflow for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases (CVD).

ALBUQUERQUE – June 6, 2024 – Lovelace Medical Center (LMC) has acquired the only Intuitive da Vinci 5 ® surgical system in the state of New Mexico, demonstrating its commitment to the most advanced technology available in minimally invasive surgery. Erica McBride, DO, general surgeon with Lovelace Medical Group (LMG) repaired a recurrent inguinal hernia for the first surgical case.

ALBUQUERQUE – May 21, 2024 – Lovelace Women’s Hospital (LWH) has been gifted two waterless milk warmers, six hospital-grade breast pumps and six breast pump trolleys by Millennium Medical Group, through a grant given by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM). 

BCBSNM granted $10,000 to Millennium Medical Group, whose neonatologists oversee care of well babies and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) babies born at LWH. Millennium used that grant to purchase the much-needed supplies for the hospital.

ALBUQUERQUE – May 22, 2024 – Lovelace Medical Center (LMC) has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Advanced Certification in Spine Surgery (ACSS) by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards.
