Award demonstrates Lovelace Medical Center’s commitment to quality care for stroke patients

February 22, 2016 – Albuquerque – Lovelace Medical Center was once again recognized for its commitment to and success in ensuring that stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines.

ALBUQUERQUE – February 9, 2016 – Lovelace Westside Hospital is pleased to announce that they have been designated a Pinwheel Champion by the Institute for Patient- and Family-Centered Care (IPFCC). The hospital is the only one in New Mexico to have received this designation.

Lovelace Health System welcomes James Washecka as Division CFO

ALBUQUERQUE – January 29, 2016 – Lovelace Health System is pleased to announce that James Washecka, FHFMA, MBA, has been named as division chief financial officer, starting March 1.

ALBUQUERQUE (December 11, 2015) – Employees of Lovelace Health System raised a total of $442,245 for United Way of Central New Mexico and United Way of Chaves County in the annual fundraising campaign this fall.

ALBUQUERQUE (November 10, 2015) – Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center was named one of Truven Health 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals in the nation for cardiovascular (heart) success in 2015. This is the second year the hospital has been on the list. Patient outcomes from Heart Hospital of New Mexico, which falls under Lovelace Medical Center, were used to measure this national distinction.

ALBUQUERQUE – October 20, 2015 – Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital has announced that they were honored with the “Most Improved” award for a small rehabilitation hospital by the HealthStream Awards of Excellence in the Excellence Through Insight category. Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital was recognized in the overall employee satisfaction and engagement section.

ALBUQUERQUE – September 21, 2015 – In celebration of National Rehabilitation Awareness Week September 20-26, Lovelace Rehabilitation Hospital is holding several events.

The first is the second annual Therapy Pet Parade on Tuesday, September 22 from 10am-11am in the hospital lobby. This event recognizes the importance of therapy pets such as dogs and cats used to help patients through physical or occupational therapy. Bystanders are welcome to participate.

ALBUQUERQUE (August 25, 2015) –   Lovelace Women’s Hospital and Lovelace Westside Hospital were both named to Modern Healthcare’s Top 100 Places to Work in Healthcare for 2015.

This is the eighth year that this recognition program has honored workplaces throughout the health care industry that empower their employees to provide patients and customers with the best possible care, products and services.
