ALBUQUERQUE – April 4, 2017 – Lovelace Medical Center has entered into an employment agreement with Hematology Oncology Associates of New Mexico to employ all providers and staff as part of the Lovelace Cancer Center.
The Lovelace Cancer Center provides services for patients seeking treatment for cancer, including chemotherapy, medical oncology services, radiation oncology services, hematology and even clinical trials. Patients have access to an extensive network of providers and treatment options, such as the Perfexion Gamma Knife for brain tumors and a variety of options for breast cancer treatment offered through the Lovelace Breast Care Center.
“Lovelace Medical Center has been working in partnership with the team at Hematology Oncology Associates of New Mexico for several years, so this was a very natural transition,” said Jarren Garrett, chief operating officer of Lovelace Medical Center. “The patients have come to expect a certain level of care and we will continue to provide that consistent quality for their treatment.”
While the name of the program has changed, the services and office location will continue to be the same, and continuity of care for existing patients will continue to be of the utmost priority.
The Lovelace Cancer Center will continue to add staff members, including new mid-level providers and physicians.
