Sherry Aragon

Chief Operating Officer

Bio

Sherry Aragon, MBA, Chief Operating Officer of Lovelace Women’s Hospital has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. Sherry has been with Lovelace since 2004, when she became director of diagnostic services for Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center. She most recently served as administrative director for Lovelace Women’s Hospital (LWH), where she was responsible for administrative leadership for all diagnostic imaging programs and hospital-based clinics including Cardiology, Maternal Fetal Medicine and the Breast Care Center. She has led market-wide initiatives to negotiate complex transactions with radiology groups. She also previously served as interim COO of LWH from December 2020 to June 2021.

She received a bachelor of science in radiological sciences from the University of New Mexico and earned a master of business administration from Western Governor’s University in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Meghann Hutchison

Chief Financial Officer

Bio

Meghann has worked for Lovelace for more than six years, most recently as assistant chief financial officer and interim chief financial officer for Lovelace Medical Center (LMC) and Heart Hospital of New Mexico (HHNM.) In her role as associate chief financial officer, Meghann managed the month-end close, including reviewing the general ledger details, net revenue model, financial statements, capital planning, and analysis for senior leadership. She also partnered with outgoing CFO Reuben Murray on a plan that resulted in reduced expenses and increased gross revenue.

Meghann is a certified public accountant. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology, as well as a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM.

Brenda Holley

Chief Nursing Officer

Bio

Brenda comes to Lovelace from Presbyterian Health System, where she has spent the past 21 years of her career. With a clinical background in pulmonary and critical care nursing, Brenda brings years of experience both as a clinician, and as a health care leader. Her leadership background at Presbyterian included positions in Presbyterian Medical Group (Pulmonary, Intensivist, and Adult Internal Medicine/Hospitalist groups), oversight of the Presbyterian Care Connection (statewide patient placement and transfer center), and most recently as Director of the Adult Medicine Service Line, where she was responsible for 7 adult inpatient medical and intensive care departments at Presbyterian Hospital. Prior to her current role, Brenda was the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer at Lovelace Westside Hospital. 

Brenda completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at University of New Mexico, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from New Mexico State University, and completed her Doctorate in Nursing at University of New Mexico. Brenda also maintains certification as a Board Certified Nurse Executive. She lives in Albuquerque, is married, and has two children.

Amy Blasing

Chief Executive Officer

Bio

Amy Blasing is a registered nurse who holds a master's in nursing and health care administration from Excelsior College in Albany, New York. With more than 25 years in health care, Blasing most recently served as CEO for Lovelace Westside Hospital. Under her leadership, Lovelace Westside received an “A” Leapfrog Patient Safety grade from 2017-2019, in addition to earning four stars from the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid Services. During that time, Lovelace Westside also received recognition from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for improving stroke care and prevention.

Prior to coming to Lovelace, Amy held leadership positions with Summerlin Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nev. as associate chief nursing officer/administrative director of clinical operations, the director of emergency services for Rockford Health System in Rockford, IL., and most recently as hospital administrator of Presbyterian Hospital. Blasing has also held leadership positions in hospitals in Las Vegas; Rockford, Illinois; and at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque.

Amy completed her both her bachelor of science in nursing and her master of science in nursing/healthcare administration from Excelsior College in Albany, New York.

She lives in Albuquerque with her husband and has three children.
