About Richard Meredick, MD

Richard Meredick, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Meredick earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pa. He completed his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at Akron General Medical Center in Ohio, where he also served as a chief resident.

Dr. Meredick also completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy (Knee and Shoulder), which also included advanced training in Shoulder Replacement and Extremity Trauma at the Taos Orthopedic Institute in New Mexico under the mentorship of knee specialist Dr. James Lubowitz, shoulder specialist Dr. Dan Gutman and United States Ski Team physician Dr. Jeb Reid. During his tenure in Taos, Dr. Meredick was awarded the best Meta-Analysis Paper by the American Journal of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Meredick is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He most recently served as the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Northern Inyo Healthcare District in Bishop, Calif.
