Many people think that cannabinoids, like marijuana, are harmless during pregnancy, but research suggests otherwise.

·       “Cannabinoid” is a term to describe a group of 66 ingredients found in the flowering cannabis plant.

·       Each of these 66 chemicals affects brain receptors differently.

·       A main ingredient in marijuana is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

ALBUQUERQUE – May 3, 2017 – Two new general surgeons have joined the ranks at Lovelace Medical Group. Timothy W. Perez, M.D., M.P.H. is currently accepting patients at Lovelace Medical Group’s clinic at St. Joseph Square. David Hoang, M.D. will join Lovelace Medical Group in July, 2017 as the only surgical intensivist in the practice. 
 
Beyond the fact that both physicians are gifted surgeons, Dr. Perez has served as Dr. Hoang’s mentor for the past several years.

The amount of support that my husband and I received from the nurses and the entire delivery and post-partum staff was so encouraging and gave me the confidence that I needed.
