Traumatic Brain Injury in Mature Adults

Please join Lawrence J. Horn, M.D., as he discusses the causes, and results, of a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in older adults and how you distinguish it from a stroke. Co-presenters JJ Williams, DPT, Brenna Murphy, PT student, and Aubrey Alexander, OT will teach you how to reduce your risk of TBI through balance and flexibility exercises, as well as safety precautions you can do around the home.

Dr. Horn is a professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Department of Neurosurgery, at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. He is also Chief Academic Officer for Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital and Program Director for the PM&R Residency. Dr. Horn attended Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, followed by his residency in PM&R at the University of Washington. His clinical interests are in Acquired Brain Injury Medicine and spinal cord injury medicine.
