Chief Nursing Officer
Bio
Nancy bring many years of nursing experience, and most recently served as the associate chief nursing officer (ACNO) at Lovelace Medical Center (LMC) and Heart Hospital of New Mexico (HHNM). During her tenure at LMC/HHNM, Nancy developed standard work and terminology for better communication and data collection from the One Call transfer center and increased acceptance of all calls from 59% in January of 2022 to a high of 72% in July 2022, while simultaneously decreasing lost transfers from a high of 221 in January of 2022 to a low of 139 in August 2022. Nancy also contributed to the development and management of the surge plan for Lovelace Health System during the COVID-19 pandemic and represented Lovelace Health System Nursing for State Hub activities. Nancy completed her bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) at American Military University in Charleston, WV, her master of science in nursing (MSN) from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Grove, IL, and both her master of business administration (MBA) and doctorate in nursing (DNP) from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. Nancy maintains a certification as a Professional of Healthcare Quality and Executive of Nursing Practice and is a member of the New Mexico Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. She is the President Elect of the New Mexico Organization of Nurse Leaders.
