Lovelace Health System announced today the system has partnered with Miller Development + Architecture on a proposed hospital in Los Lunas. The hospital will serve the needs of citizens and providers throughout Valencia County. As a trusted health care provider for New Mexicans over the past 90 years, Lovelace continues to invest in services, technology and new facilities to meet the needs of our community.
The proposed 110,000-square-foot-hospital is estimated to cost $55 million and create 500 local construction jobs and 450 full time jobs. Miller Architecture is expected to break ground on the hospital in the end of 2013. Lovelace Health System will manage and operate the hospital.
Lovelace Health Plan will also be partnering with Atrinea Health to open a primary care clinic in Los Lunas in January 2013 exclusively for Lovelace Health Plan members.
Lovelace Health System President and CEO Ron Stern said in an email to employees, “We are always interested in helping communities with their health care needs and we look forward to working with Miller Architecture and the Village of Los Lunas to offer high quality health care to the residents of Valencia County.”
