ALBUQUERQUE – June 24, 2022 – Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center (Heart Hospital) has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Heart Failure Gold Plus with Honor Roll Quality Achievement Award while Lovelace Medical Center earned the Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke GOLD PLUS with Honor Roll Elite and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll, both for the tenth consecutive year.

These awards recognize Lovelace’s commitment to ensuring heart failure patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence. The goal is to focus on recovery and reducing hospital readmissions for heart failure patients.

These measures include evaluation of the proper use of medications and other stroke treatments aligned with the most up-to-date, evidence-based guidelines to speed recovery and reduce death and disability for stroke patients.
