Every Day in the Life of a Heart Surgeon

Please join us for a presentation by Fenton McCarthy, M.D., M.S. for an overview of many of the conditions requiring open heart surgery including coronary artery disease, aortic and/or mitral valve disease and diseases of the ascending aorta.

Dr. McCarthy is board-eligible cardiothoracic surgeon and a candidate member of the Society for Thoracic Surgeons. He was born and raised in Colorado. He received his bachelor of arts in History and Spanish Literature from Dartmouth College. He briefly studied and lived in Latin America before completing his medical degree, Integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency, and Master of Science from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. McCarthy sees patients at New Mexico Heart Institute.
