Tracie joins Lovelace from Los Alamos Medical Center (LMAC), where she served as CEO for the last four years. During her time there, she opened a cardiac rehabilitation program and sleep lab, also earning a CMS Star Rating 3. Under her leadership, LAMC was named a Newsweek Top 4 Hospital in New Mexico in 2023 and received a LeapFrog Hospital Safety Grade of “A” for Fall 2023.
Prior to her time in New Mexico, Tracie served as interim executive operations officer of Capital Medical Center, a LifePoint Health facility in Olympia, Wash, a 107 bed facility where she led the development of a COVID-19 wing and helped to create a transfer review process and committee, later deemed a best practice.
Tracie earned a bachelor of science in exercise physiology from the University of Wyoming, in Laramie, Wyo., an associate of science in nursing from Casper College in Casper, Wyo. and a master of science in nursing from the University of Mary in Bismark, N.D.

Sherry Aragon, MBA, Chief Operating Officer of Lovelace Women’s Hospital has more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience. Sherry has been with Lovelace since 2004, when she became director of diagnostic services for Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center. She most recently served as administrative director for Lovelace Women’s Hospital (LWH), where she was responsible for administrative leadership for all diagnostic imaging programs and hospital-based clinics including Cardiology, Maternal Fetal Medicine and the Breast Care Center. She has led market-wide initiatives to negotiate complex transactions with radiology groups. She also previously served as interim COO of LWH from December 2020 to June 2021.
She received a bachelor of science in radiological sciences from the University of New Mexico and earned a master of business administration from Western Governor’s University in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Jay Sundheimer, RN

Lovelace Health System has named Jay Sundheimer, RN, MSN, chief nursing officer (CNO) of Lovelace Westside Hospital (LWSH).
Sundheimer brings over 17 years of nursing experience with him. Before joining Lovelace, Sundheimer was with Presbyterian Healthcare Services as CNO of Rust Medical Center since 2018 and prior to that he worked for LifePoint Health in Las Cruces as the assistant CNO. He has decades of nursing and leadership experience and a vast understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, operations, patient care standards and industry trends.
Sundheimer earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree and master of science in nursing administration, both from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. He was named as a Hospital and Health System “Chief Nursing Officer to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review and was named a Healthcare Hero by the New Mexico Hospital Association.
