Richard J. Schumann, M.D., is a Neurologist and Sleep specialist. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine at Hahnemann University Graduate School in Philadelphia. Caring and very professional.
Our video call did not work out but the provider called me on a regular phone line and we were able to discuss issues- he didn't just give up because the video call did not work. I'm not sure I understand the purpose of a video call when a regular conversation works just as well.
Dr. Schumann was very thorough and informative.
So many times, a doctor does not listen to the patient. He knows what needs to be done no matter what the patient wants to say or bring up. However, that is not Dr. Schumann! He listen to me and then showed me the report of what is going on. Showed that there was definitely a concern that I had. I brought up other points and he explained each one of them and again took me very seriously. I really appreciate Dr. schumann!

I appreciated Dr. Schumann's personal interest and professionalism. He was concerned about my recent hospital stay, offered to help get a company to service my c-pap machine…it's been weeks since I've heard from the referral team, gave practical advice on health care, and spoke up as I am hard of hearing.
Dr. Schumann remains professional re: bedside manner, patience and above all knowledge. So grateful he was able re re-review my updated situation after disregarding sleep therapy after a family issue a few years ago. Delighted to see he is now at the Jefferson location; many apologies to him for accidentally referring to him as Dr. (Andrew) Schumann, he is Dr. Richard Schumann, when having a conversation with him.
