This was the 2nd time seeing Dr. Mamsa. It was obvious she was prepared when she entered the room. She greeted us with joy. She was thorough and thoughtful with the assessment and follow up questions. My mom has dementia and she treated her with respect and did not automatically look to me to answer questions. She welcomed partnership responses and I can't express enough how grateful I am for that. Too many healthcare workers dismiss a patient with dementia probably because of time restraints but it's not the quantity of time given that determines quality care it's kindness, eye contact when listening, and asking "why" and then offering options so the patient is a partner in their own care. Dr. Mamsa is superb.
