Richard J. Schumann, M.D., is a Neurologist and Sleep specialist. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine at Hahnemann University Graduate School in Philadelphia. He completed both a residency of Neurology and a fellowship in Neuropsychology and Sleep Medicine at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.

A Lovelace employee who is the compliance officer for Lovelace was interviewed by q police officer. The compliance officer was on the phone with a patient when a Lovelace employee was very rude to that patient. When asked by the police officer, the compliance officer lied and stated she was not on the phone. Also, she told the police officer the patient was very rude in the past. How did she verify that or really is it her job. My question to CEO is if this compliance officer can lie to a police officer, you might wonder how man times has she lied to you. Fortunately, the patient had recorded the telephone called with the compliance officer so if the patient really wanted to get the compliance officer in trouble with the law for false statements to the police officer, but instead you might want to watch your employees more closely. Now as far as Doctor Schumann, this Doctor is excellent. He cares and listen to his patients. He has changed my life. Please if you are having troubles sleeping, see Doctor Schumann.

I was referred to your clinic from my doctor in Gallup, NM, because my sleep study doctor was not longer at the hospital. My visit was more than I expected. Dr. Schumann was very kind and had a very good bedside manners, which is one of the things I observe with any medical staff I first noticed. Thank you Dr. Schumann.

Dr. Shumann was very good at explaining what his plan was for me to see if I have sleep apnea. He was a very pleasant Dr. I have a comnent about the staff there at Lovelace Sleep Medicine at Rio Rancho. When I call they do not answer the phones. I left a message on Monday regarding my husband and they have not returned my call. When I was there fir my appt, I had to tell Oscar that my friend was trying to reach them fir 2 weeks with no luck. He got her nane and number and called her while I was waiting to see Dr. Schumann. I just finished my sleep study at home, and I need another appt with Dr. Schuman within a wk as Dr. Schumann stated. He even said, use the portal, because they don't answer our phones. Help in this matter would be appreciated. Thank you, Nanette Lovato

Dr. Schumann is very personable and knowledgeable, and was proactive in letting me know an updated CPAP unit would be covered by insurance. The office staff is kind and also proactive in reaching out to schedule my annual visit required to renew my prescription for CPAP supplies. They will take good care of you!

I found Dr. Schuman to be a very discrete doctor, a very kind man. He obviously felt I had a potential to have a problem with a sleep disorder. My study seemed to me to come up pretty quickly. However, Dr Schuman was very laid back. He didn't jump to conclusions, he is letting the tests speak for themselves.
