About Christopher P. Burton, D.O.
Dr. Chris Burton is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, who specializes in Interventional Pain Medicine. Dr. Burton received his bachelor of science in Human Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. He then went on to receive a Masters in Medical Science at the University of North Texas followed by his Doctor of Osteopathy at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Burton completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation where he served as chief resident of the first graduating class at the Lovelace-UNM PM&R residency program. He then completed an ACGMEaccredited Pain Medicine fellowship through the department of Anesthesia at the University of New Mexico where he received specialized training in several interventional treatments for pain including spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, cooled and thermal radiofrequency ablation, epidural injections, and ultrasound-guided joint injections.
