Alberto Dominguez-Ventura, M.D.

Alberto Dominguez-Ventura, M.D. is a board certified general surgeon with experience in laparoscopic procedures, colon cases, and appendectomies. Dr. Dominguez-Ventura received his doctor of medicine with honors and first in his class at Facultad de Medicina, Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. During the span of his medical education, he also completed a year as an exchange medical student at Medizinische Fakultät, Ruprecht-Karls Universität. He then completed his general surgery residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and his fellowship of thoracic surgery (non-cardiac) at Mayo Clinic.

Before coming to practice medicine in Albuquerque, Dr. Dominguez-Ventura was a private surgeon in Cochise County, Arizona for several different hospitals. He also held administrative positions such as vice-chairman of the department of surgery at Sierra Vista Regional Health Center and the chairman of the department of surgery and vice-chief of staff at the Southeast Arizona Medical Center. Before coming to Lovelace, he practiced surgery at Presbyterian for 8 years.
