Our emergency rooms are designed and equipped to treat a wide range of medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses. We commonly treat the following:

The Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center is proud to offer the only emergency department in the state of New Mexico that is 100% dedicated to cardiac care. Here, highly trained ER providers are ready and equipped to treat any cardiac emergency such as cardiac arrest (heart attack). Our emergency team uses advanced technology to provide our patients with a variety of treatments and services, including surgical care, cardiac catheterization labs and vascular care services.

If you have traveled outside the U.S. within the past 14 days, or to a community with broad outbreaks, or have come into contact with someone who has, AND are experiencing a fever, cough or shortness of breath, please call the Department of Health (DOH) at 1-855-600-3453

In a medical emergency or urgency, minutes matter. Our highly trained ER providers are ready and equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies or urgencies with speed and compassion. Whether it's a broken bone, fracture, sprain, chest pains or something much more serious. Most of our patients are seen by one of our emergency room providers in about 30 minutes or less.
