About Zibin Zhao, M.D.
Zibin Zhao, M.D completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in biochemistry and was also inducted into the Normandy Scholar program in 2007. He then earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. During this time, he discovered his calling in orthopaedic surgery and continued his postgraduate residency training at the same institution in the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
It was there that he received a well-rounded education and exposure to all aspects of orthopaedic surgery including both operative and non-operative means of treating all orthopaedic trauma, such as acute fractures, dislocations, and ligamentous tears. He is also well versed in managing painful, degenerative conditions of the musculoskeletal system and well trained in performing joint replacements of hips, knees, or shoulders. After his training, he moved to Roswell and is fully licensed to practice in New Mexico.
Dr. Zhao is deemed board eligible by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and he has already passed part I, which are the written boards. He is a member of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
