Suns out… Kids out!

The sun’s out, so that means the kids are out…out of school that is. There are many different free events happening around Albuquerque and surrounding areas to keep your kids entertained over summer break.

Nusenda Credit Union and New Mexico True have teamed up to provide the 2018 FREE Summer Fun Tour for the whole family. The tour includes free access to Explora, Meow Wolf, ABQ Biopark & Zoo, Hinkle Family Fun Center and the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History. The Albuquerque and Bernalillo County public libraries have a great Museum Discovery Pass Program. If you are a library card holder, you are allowed to check out passes to go explore all the museums around the state. Some of the museum passes include the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, Albuquerque International Balloon Museum, Unser Racing Museum and the New Mexico family pass. What’s next after the kids have enjoyed a free event? They are going to be hungry. The Bernalillo County Health and Social Services department provides free, nutritious lunches during the summer months. From May 30 until August 4, children aged one through 18 can receive a free lunch and enjoy it at the site where it is distributed.
