Lovelace Women's Hospital
Overview
Lovelace Women's Hospital – the first and only hospital in the state devoted to women's health – is growing to meet the needs of New Mexico. Lovelace Women's Hospital has a newly expanded 53-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to meet the high demands for NICU beds in New Mexico. This compliments our 16 labor and delivery rooms and 41-bed Mother-Baby Unit. We've also expanded our Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) program to provide 24/7 access to perinatologists to better meet the needs of our high-risk pregnant patients. And we just opened our brand new Pediatric Observation Unit to provide care for children under the age of 18 who need further care after being seen in an emergency department, urgent care or physician’s office.
The Breast Care Center at Lovelace Women's Hospital offers a complete range of breast care services in one convenient location including a new MRI with breast coil and digital mammography. We recently added a new Rapid Response service that allows patients to find out the results of their mammogram, clinical breast exam and lifetime breast cancer risk assessment within 24 hours.
Lovelace Women’s Hospital was recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the best places to work in healthcare nationally in 2009. Lovelace Women’s Hospital was the only hospital in New Mexico to receive this honor and ranked 24th of the top 100 companies selected.
